@mf723 @bbrannan @mitmee_pie @wa4wga @marrie1 I’m not saying don’t apply, I’m just saying don’t count on getting help from your employer.
@mf723 @bbrannan @mitmee_pie @wa4wga @marrie1 that’s pretty rare these days, especially if it’s unskilled labor.
@mf723 @bbrannan @mitmee_pie @wa4wga @marrie1 You can’t count on your employer to pay for that.
@mf723 @bbrannan @mitmee_pie @wa4wga @marrie1 You can do that, but keep in mind that you’ll still need to come up with the funds to move.
@mf723 @bbrannan @mitmee_pie @wa4wga @marrie1 Relocating isn’t always the answer, and that’s assuming you have the funds to do so.
@UncleTreyPound Knowing GVegas, probably fireworks.
@RicksterTheGeek @mf723 @mitmee_pie @bbrannan @marrie1 @wa4wga It may be gaining, and that’s great. But until it’s there…
@mf723 @mitmee_pie @wa4wga @marrie1 @bbrannan @aedangk I hope you don’t either. But you’ll be damn lucky if you don’t ever encounter it.
@mf723 @mitmee_pie @wa4wga @marrie1 @bbrannan @aedangk Well, if you get the job, that’ll be great. And I hope you kee it.
@mf723 @mitmee_pie @wa4wga @marrie1 @bbrannan @aedangk OK then. I promise, when you get to the real world, it’ll be a lot different.
@mf723 @mitmee_pie @wa4wga @marrie1 @bbrannan @aedangk How many jobs have you had?
@mitmee_pie @wa4wga @marrie1 @bbrannan @mf723 @aedangk Security policies for the win. </sarc>
@wa4wga @mf723 @bbrannan @marrie1 @mitmee_pie Yep, and the only way to stop this is either lawsuits or legislation. Sucks, but it’s true.
@wa4wga @mf723 @bbrannan @marrie1 @mitmee_pie Nope. It’s perfectly legal discrimination.
@mitmee_pie @marrie1 @bbrannan @mf723 @wa4wga Yep. They’re seeing possible insurance hikes and/or lawsuits.
@mf723 @bbrannan @marrie1 @wa4wga @mitmee_pie They still might squeal. They’ll squeal if accessibility problems come up even well after hire
@mf723 @bbrannan @marrie1 @wa4wga @mitmee_pie and they can’t get a refund for that license.
@mf723 @bbrannan @marrie1 @wa4wga @mitmee_pie given that any new hire is risk enough.
@mf723 @bbrannan @marrie1 @wa4wga @mitmee_pie It might be pocket change, but that doesn’t mean they’re willing to spend that change
@wa4wga @mf723 @mitmee_pie @bbrannan @marrie1 Yep.. and that’s the case with a lot of call center jobs, and even in-house tech support.
