Notes – Page 42 – Amanda Unvarnished

So I’m trying to decide if I want to play with Bridgy Fed again and use it in lieu of the WordPress ActivityPub plugin, which I’m doing now. I’m leaning towards yes, mostly because a couple of problems will be solved if I do this. First, there’s the issue of seeing replies to posts from this handle: They show up as comments to moderate, but there’s no way as of yet for me to reply back to them from this handle. There would be if I start using Bridgy Fed. Second, liking and reposting. I can do that on my website, but not via this handle and have that reflected in people’s notifications when I like/repost their stuff. This would work with Bridgy Fed.

The trick though is moving the followers from this handle over to the one using Bridgy Fed, because that would be different. I need to look into whether or not this is possible. Assuming it is, I’ll get all that configured and switch everything over sometime this week.

I started out the morning having to clean up a huge mess, because when I went to make a cup of coffee I accidentally dropped the scoop with hot chocolate in it on the counter and so powdery mix got all over the place. Not how I wanted to start Thursday.

I’m hoping the rest of today turns out not like this morning, and I hope all of you have an uneventful Thursday.

Otherwise, we have all the windows open since I think our mini heatwave is out the door, so I’m hoping to enjoy that.

So apparently I managed to close all mly rings yesterday, which is something I wasn’t even trying for. I plan to do better on that score today.

I’m still on autopilot mostly, but my first cup of coffee is sitting right here so that will be corrected shortly.

Sad panda, because the Rays lost to the Rangers yesterday. They had a really good season though.

I’m not sure which book we’ll be starting today, probably the next one in the Butch Carp series. I’m not sure if that’s how you spell it and I’m too lazy to look it up just this second.
