@caseynewton OK, but telegram chats have never been encrypted by default, at least the private ones. So I'm not sure this specific situation is the one team pro-encryption should be throwing its weight behind. And that's before we get to the moral issues involved with Telegram being a moderation free zone.

@caseynewton Or, you let some criminality go, and go after the egregious situations. And Telegram is one of those. I fail to see how the app/platform situation is somehow different than any other where priorities have to be weighed when principals conflict.

@mattmay He might be considering it, but unless he can get Vance to step aside for personal reasons or whatever, it's not happening. Not this late in the game.
