A friend recently made a good point: In 20 years the only people that will remember how much overtime you did will be your kids

I’d also add that your spouse will remember, and to a lesser extent any significant other you may have. The significant other will likely leave you when they can’t deal anymore though, and you’ll find yourself lonely and alone.

What continues to disappoint me the most is that people who know better -- particularly journalists -- have capitulated to Musk in every way that matters. They kind of, sort of recognize the menace he represents, and don't like his loud loathing of what they do. But the audience and content matter more to them, even though they could bring both to better places. Look, I have my own hypocrisies. But supporting Musk was one I couldn't abide.

I don’t feel attacked when people condemn the Taliban because Taliban do not represent Muslims and I proudly take the lead in condemning Taliban terrorism. If you’re MAGA white and feel personally attacked when Biden condemns white supremacy terror—you are absolutely telling on yourself.
