@emilyk @sickmatter Oh and she's also having to cope with acquiring a life-altering disability that will require her to significantly adapt how she lives her day to day life. That's a huge task, and just on that alone, anybody who has a problem with anything she's said at this point after her release can shut the fuck up and have several seats.

@emilyk @sickmatter I understand the sentiment that she shouldn't be consulted for military advice, but I completely understand where she's coming from, I've said worse t hings about my abusers over my life, and I sincerely hope and pray that she gets the care she needs and the help to pick up the pieces and reassemble them so that she can have a life where coping doesn't consume all her energy.

I'm sorry you're having to go through this, and having gone through the whole family not accepting thing when I converted 25 years ago, I know how painful it is. I hope and pray in your case they get over themselves and learn to accept you for who you are, including your choice to join the Jewish people. Oh, and mazel tov and welcome!

@sapphireangel I use my phone, but lately have been really wishing I had a discrete reading device again. Having books not attached to your phone has its advantages, but also disadvantages.
