After having to set up several different rules to deal with AT&T mail, I'm convinced that they send email from a ton of different addresses as a passive-aggressive welcome to new users. "Welcome to AT&T! The emails will continue until morale improves!

Get in #babkans and other #fedizens we're doing Monday.

Tomorrow is my birthday, so we got some steaks this weekend and John is going to cook me steak and potatoes for tomorrow's dinner. We're still figuring out if we can do a grocery order tomorrow since there's an ice storm coming in and it's supposed to be colder than it's been. It'll warm up by Friday though, all the way to the 50's. Woohoo! A heat wave!

Otherwise we're just doing our usual thing.

Just wanted to send a quick thanks to the blind hive mind for help with the apple watch. We got it paired, and, even though it decided during the restore process to unpair itself and we had to re-pair, I think we're finally off to the races. For anyone else who needs it, tripple click the crown as soon as the watch turns on, and pair manually. VoiceOver will read everything once that's done.

Hey blind hive mind. Does anyone have any tips and tricks for pairing an apple watch while blind? I've tried holding the watch to the camera with no luck and when I try to use Seeing AI to get the 6-digit code after choosing the watch name, which I can get, I'm having no luck before the process times out. Reasonable light, but not ideal Not sure if that's part of the problem. Pairing with iPhone SE 2022, iOS 17 latest build. Thanks in advance.

I love it when people discover the joys of self-hosting their stuff. I'm not saying it doesn't require work, and I also understand that it's not for everyone and there really are significant ways the process in general could be improved to make it easier for people to self-host no matter which thing they use. But it still fills my heart with pride and joy when someone discovers on their own that they can exercise their creativity in whatever way they like when self-hosting and they're happy with the result.

You guys, it has been a long ass week. I'm hoping to be able to spend tomorrow wrapping things up from said week so they are at a point where they can hang out paused for the weekend while I engage in some rest and relaxation. For the time being, the beer I promised myself is in hand and the first swallow has gone down my gullet. It's so refreshing.
