OK Babkans, I have a question.

I've seen at least two posts referencing babka.social from outside the server this week, one saying something about how the hardware running Babka has worms and the other about how Babka users get excited thinking we're being mentioned when it's just Babka displaying a post.

Both of these were boosted by people who don't interact with or mention Babka at all, except if I'm in the conversation because it's my domain.

So the question is: Is babka.social really living rent-free in people's heads, and if so why?

Admittedly I've been intentionally under a rock for the last little bit, so did I miss another inflection point on the fediverse?

Like have large accounts managed to excavate a new bottom when it comes to antisemitism or something? It's not like they haven't had material to work with over the last month, culminating in yesterday.

Thanks in advance for answering, and please keep this not public. 👁
