If as a #libertarian you like to explain to people that you're "not on the left or the right," but then you harp relentlessly about the excesses of #wokeism while shrugging and remaining largely silent about DeSantis's culture war or attacks on drag shows, consider that you are in fact not nonpartisan at all, but in fact very much on the conservative right.

I just typed 'Nopefully' in an email and this will now be my go-to word for when I hope something doesn't happen. 😄

Our schools routinely alienate the trans kids, the gay kids, the non-white kids, the non-Christian kids. But we can't say slavery was bad, because that would alienate the racists, and that's where we draw the line for some reason.

Media just will not stop using the term "culture wars." Culture wars may be disputes about spaghetti or burgers for dinner. What the media misnames and often conscously trivializes as supposed "culture wars" are, in fact, the attack on human rights, authoritarianism, and the renewed enforcement of outright discrimination. There is nothing "both sides" about this, and it is not a question of cultural heritage or personal taste.
