The sudden collapse of Silicon Valley Bank is sending absolute shockwaves through the tech industry. Nobody is really buying into the narrative that “The risk of contagion is low” – the bottom line is, we don’t know. The last 8 years in tech have been really strange, driven by wild monetary policy driving reckless investment decisions even from VC’s whom I considered to be fairly conservative. Took my car in early this morning for a one hour service and ended up with an eight hour service.
So lucky my daughter rescued me and gave me a ride home.
Got back in time to take Summer on her rounds. It felt wonderful to see some sunshine.
Summer loves her acre. After a routine patrol, she rolled around in the dry grass and partied a little bit.
Happy puppy. Happy Friday.

@chris @Jeffro I don't know I think switching themes has been a royal pain for about 8 years now. It's probably more disappointing though if you're using the block editor since you're essentially being told in not so many words that the block editor is supposed to eliminate at least some of the problems since presentation and content are no longer separate.

Excellent, detailed article about a new much more inclusive Skin Tone scale developed by Dr. Ellis Monk working with Google to provide “a fuller range of darker skin tones than the cruder tools currently used” to train AI data sets in medical situations, and, more urgently, to fix pulse oximeters that don’t work as well on people of color.
