I tend to be downright hostile toward anyone who rolls their own cryptography. Mostly because that shit is hard and unless you really know what you're doing you will fuck up and then you won't know how to unfuck yourself and then when your users are fucked you'll blame them when it's not their fault.

@swarming Palestinian civilians are starving and desperate because Hamas decided to start a war. As far as whose numbers are acceptable, start with an entity that doesn't view civilian deaths as a tactical good and a battle strategy. Doesn't have to be Israel, but it's definitely not Hamas or anyone repeating their statistics.

OK fine. Investigate. But save your flaming hot takes about how Israel is responsible at least until the investigation is actually finished. Especially when the only reason any of this is happening is because the international community screamed bloody murder about how Israel has to support the civilians governed by the terrorists who attacked it instead of focusing on its own goals and its own interests, and it's doing its best to ensure Israel leaves Hamas in place.
