People are dunking on generative AI because (1) when there are benefits, the costs outweigh them, and (2) there's a metric ton of hype surrounding this stuff that turns out to be pure crap that benefits no one and yet is being sold as the greatest thing since sliced bread for accessibility and everything else.

It's pretty jarring. She speaks a lot of words with the closest thing to a neutral US accent, and then just randomly drops in words with southern pronunciation, and then goes back to her regular. It's like, pick a team.

I think a huge part of it is that neither of us like the female narrator in the graphic audio. We both find her to be pretty annoying, for me, specifically the fake southern accent she's not very good at.
