I'm not a lawyer, but I'm pretty sure that mentioning WordPress isn't a violation of the trademark. I have no idea if WPE is using the logo at all, but honestly I'm having a hard time believing that they've been doing their thing for 10+ years and Matt is just now getting around to sorting any trademark issues.

I think I technically have a WPCom blog but I never use it.

Oh I don't have anything with Automattic except my WPCom account which basically hosts a reader from which I need to extract my feeds.
