I’m proud to say I’ll be presenting on accessible astronomy for Vocal Eye’s Almost Live event via Zoom on Wed. July 12, beginning at 6:45 Pacific. We’ll hear some great descriptions from JJ, some sonifications, and we’ll welcome Dr. Sherry Wells-Jensen, a flier on the Astro Access 0G flight. Register here, and a Zoom link will be sent to you on the day.

@TalkDescriptionToMe

Offering beta versions of your software to your general users is equivalent to saying, “I mean, like, it couldn’t be worse than what we already gave you, right?” Betas should be for a selected audience who’s feedback you listen to closely and for whom you plan to respond with alacrity. You should regard quality gaps as your problem, not “Well, we never said it was perfect.” Personally, I use betas only on test devices for specific testing, never for general use.
