It’s cool, everyone, I’m sure mega-rich GOP-patron coup-supporting fascist assholes just want what’s best for the Democratic Party and America by bankrolling an enfleshed-horseshoe-theory dipshit whom exactly zero people OTHER than Republicans and Naomi Wolf want to run for president and who only Naomi Wolf and the handful of people who still think Naomi Wolf is smart will vote for.

Because #AI trains on content it finds on the Internet; and because most of the frontpage stuff you find with a Google search now is just AI-generated junk…

I think we’re about 8 months from the entire Internet being like one of those barely-legible, recompressed-a-million-times jpegs you see on your uncle’s Facebook… but in paragraph form.

@RxBrad

For abled folks: Next time you’re about to argue you’re not ableist, think about the fact that there even need to be laws to create a bare bones accessibility ….that it wasn’t something abled ppl just wanted to do to include their fellow human beings.

Then contemplate that these bare bones laws are very often disobeyed and society isn’t in an uproar about it.

I absolutely hate the “yes or later” UX patter with all my fucking heart. If you were asked whether you’d like to be hung today, would “no, but please ask me next time we talk” be an acceptable answer for you? Because it sure isn’t for me, and that’s how I feel like when I’m forced to click that “later” button. Even if a software, in fact, is going to ask me later, it should at least have the decency not to rub that fact in my face. NVDA’s “skip donation this time” is a much better wording here.

@miki

If we truly want people to join the #Fediverse, the *best* way to do that is to post content that you can’t get anywhere else.

I haven’t seen anyone do more in that regard than @Deglassco, who is not only sharing American history, but American history that many politicians on the right are actively trying to erase from public school curricula.

*This* is how you do it. 😎

If you aren’t already following @Deglassco I encourage you to take corrective action immediately. 😊

Republicans are moving ahead with plans for Robert F. Kennedy Jr. to testify before a Judiciary subpanel after he falsely claimed Covid-19 was “ethnically targeted.” (RKF was not, as he claims, misunderstood. He is a anti-Semitic conspiracy theorist and his appearance at a GOP hearing just demonstrates how specious the hearing is.) https://www.politico.com/minutes/congress/07-17-2023/jordan-gop-rfk-covid/
