@_jv_ You can, but it's really difficult if you want to do things like buy alcohol, or drive, and don't forget that in the US, if you can't drive you are pretty much fucked.

@alda No but you do fill out a birth certificate, which is then filed with the county of birth. You then need to use this along with other things to get ID or driver's license, plus other stuff.
