I apparently need to spend some time looking through server logs, because IfTTT can no longer pesos my exercise posts. Granted, this was always dicy, but still. This has always been the part of #indieweb that’s been the most painful, (I.E., least automatable).

This isn’t the only thing that’s wonky. I still need to figure out why Teacup isn’t working, or, alternatively, I just need to bite the bullet and work on the shortcuts project.

Regarding my last read from Scripting News:

I’m very interested in seeing what Dave Winer is going to do with the API side of WordPress. I haven’t had a chance to really work with it myself, but it’s not hard to look at WordPresss in the same way I look at Mastodon, for example. It federates incredibly will, even if I’m not doing that right now myself. And if we could combine Mastodon/Bluesky with everything else RSS, that could be potentially excellent.

In other news, I suspect microblog is the only social network I’ll be doing anything with once this round of dust settles. It’s the only one that hasn’t gone completely insane, and I have to thank Manton and everyone else who works behind the scenes to help keep it sane, along with the rest of the users of microblog for agreeing to go along with it. Mastodon is too much like Twitter and Facebook at this point, and that’s not a technological problem, or at least it mostly isn’t.
