@DianaThompson Skiplinks could be helpful, but I honestly think the most helpful thing would be for the block editor to stop trying to be Microsoft Word on the web, because the document object model available for Word, which screen readers absolutely need, will never be available to the browser. So everything in that path is trying to reinvent a wheel you can never have.

@crankingchrisreagan I hope everything goes well with your appointment Chris.

In reply to @DianaThompson.

@DianaThompson I don't mean to suggest that the accessibility team and others aren't working hard to fix it. But it's such a complex app that trying to bold on accessibility as an afterthought will never be done, because regressions keep happening.

In reply to @DianaThompson.

@DianaThompson There have definitely been lots of accessibility improvements, but honestly the whole thing is just an efficiency nightmare while using a screen reader.

In reply to @Popehat.

@Popehat Hey at least they're not calling it rico. or saying something about shouting fire in a crowded theater.

In reply to @DianaThompson.

@DianaThompson The block editor.

@lynnskyi @ANGELGIRL1976 @NightDrake @Christina Yeah we're not going to talk about my recipies folder in Dropbox, it's a mess and I really need to just sit down and clean it up.

In reply to @objectinspace.

@objectinspace I mean look I don't think he's actually going to encrypt DMs. I think he's just making another promise in the dark which the media is all too eager to swallow. (Well, and old relatives, but let's not go there). I'd actually congratulate him though if he actually did it and implemented it well. Not holding my breath though.

In reply to @objectinspace.

@objectinspace Well yeah noone's going to literally do that. And given the stuff with the Twitter Files, he's already demonstrated he'd hand them over with enough motivation.

In reply to @Pawpower.

@Pawpower @amy0223 I don't think it's either childish or irresponsible to take some needed downtime outside in the sunshine.

In reply to @objectinspace.

@objectinspace If he manages to actually encrypt DMs, good on him. It'll be the single good thing he's done for Twitter. But I'll believe it when I see it, and I expect at minimum 3 separate attempts to roll it out only to have it blow up in his face through fuckups.

@ANGELGIRL1976 @lynnskyi @NightDrake @Christina Thanks for this!

In reply to @Brandon_h.

@Brandon_h Yeah same. I absolutely run an adblocker, all the time, and I am not dropping it for Youtube.
