The next phase of the #ThreadiverseMigration is helping relocate and build #kbin and #Lemmy communities by mapping old subreddits to new communities.

yoasif @yoasif, who has been a #Reddit moderator on r/firefox, has taken up the challenge:

Unofficial Subreddit Migration List (#Lemmy, #Kbin) >>> https://www.quippd.com/writing/2023/06/15/unofficial-subreddit-migration-list-lemmy-kbin-etc.html

“Here’s a quick and dirty list that you can contribute to (https://github.com/yoasif/yoasif.github.io/blob/main/_posts/2023-06-15-unofficial-subreddit-migration-list-lemmy-kbin-etc.markdown). Put new entries in alphabetical order. Pull requests welcome!”

A sense of community is important and that includes those who suffer from mental illness. heypeers.com is a great, free site that has wonderful peer meetings for those with mood disorders, anxiety, depression and other illnesses.
Sometimes just knowing your not alone, is enough.

Dear #indieweb people– what's the least enshittified domain registrar out there? I need to find a new one. Again. 😭

@tchambers The Ghost CEO is also amazing. Substack stole their whole (open source) code without accreditation and he basically said “look, I know you were going to steal from someone anyway, but if you take it from us who are already giving it for free, at least say thank you as we ask you for.”

What a lot of people who sign up here looking for a like for like replacement for something else then getting upset when we rigidly refuse to change to into it don’t seem to get is that we simply don’t have to care.

You can suggest it’s a failure all you like but we’ve been here for years happily. We’ll be here happily if you decide to go.

It doesn’t hinge on it being a typical corporate ‘success’. It’s out there in the world where anyone can make a new server exist. It’s already a success.

Watching #Elon and now #Reddit CEO Huffman run the same play, it makes me think that Matt Muellenweg may be the only tech CEO left that I can think of has any credibility on the #OpenWeb. #WordPress #Automattic
