We get hundreds of stories about the Titan crew, all the way to absurd non-ironic pieces on how one of them is a distant relative of some historical figures.

Can we have some personal profiles of people who drowned on the Med trying to find refuge in Europe instead please?

Their stories are much more important to be told.

More of this please, but better:

@RickiTarr Also it'd be helpful of the people who insist they're just asking questions spoke up when someone like Desantis tries to prevent trans adults from getting their meds or when Texas tries to separate trans kids from their parents because the parents are gender affirming. So far they're not doing that, which makes their just-asking-questions ring quite hollow.

@bruce_toews I think almost all of us have been in the situation where we need to do less shooting off of our mouths. Also, I guess I never got excited because Musk didn't come up with those innovations, the engineers working for him did. He just bought Tesla and Starlink and SpaceX. I mean money is important, and you need it to prototype and build all this innovative stuff, so I don't mean to discount that. But it's not his supposed genius behind it. +

@bruce_toews If it makes you feel any better, I don't think any of us thought Twitter would implode in the way it has, or as quickly. I was skeptical from the beginning, and I just thought Musk would speedrun the moderation curve but otherwise it would be fine. Not that speedrunning the moderation curve on a site that big is fine, but I wasn't expecting most of the other stuff.

As two billionaire oligarchs fight for control of #Russia and two billionaire oligarchs are getting ready for a cage fight for control of America, I have a modest proposal.

Why not have all four go into the cage together? Winner gets to control the entire planet. Of Mars.

As soon as the winner leaves the cage he’s immediately put on a rocket to his new kingdom.

Uber driver to me: “So, were you born this way?” Me: “By this way I’m assuming you mean fabulous? It’s ok, you can say the word, I won’t be offended!” Driver: “There isn’t like … a surgery they can do to fix you?” Me: “Why would you fix fabulousity? I mean if I could have the ability to fly, then I’d consider it but honestly, why mess with perfection?”

Holy crap! SocialBu scheduler now gives you the ability to add alt text to images it posts to Mastodon.

THANK YOU.

That means I can now use this to schedule my posts and @writingtheother posts and drop @buffer like a hot potato!

And for my peeps who care about #accessibility, SocialBu is one of the only schedulers that can send posts to Mastdon AND has alt text.
