From the “But I Thought Blocking Links From Major Media Organizations Was Bad” Dept.
Spoiler alert: The people who have spent the last three years screeching at the top of their lungs about Twitter and Hunter Biden have been deafeningly silent over the last two days on this.
Jee I wonder why? Could it be that the problem isn’t really that blocking major news networks is bad, but that blocking *the news networks conservatives and Republicans prefer* is bad?
Because there’s a hell of a difference between those two things, and honestly I suspect it’s the latter that’s the actual problem not the former, but everyone either cashing in on or eagerly lapping up the “Conservatives are being censored!” narrative know they can’t afford to say that out loud and so they keep up the game.

But making accessibility some sort of extra/nice to have when actually it's something you should be doing out of the gate is a huge +

@edwardchampion I've read 103 so far this year and am not anywhere near done. #Bookstodon

Okay, apparently #bookstodon is a real hashtag. So I’m putting it out there to find fellow readers. I’ve read 80 books since the start of the year. (Today is April 14th.) And I’m ALL OVER the place. 800 page books about the Fed. Massive Jack Vance epics. Translated fiction. Half of Ali Smith’s output. Come at me, my fellow hardcore reading weirdos! 🤣

Who called it a ‘retain cycle’ instead of a ‘self own’?
