@technocounselor A lot of it has to do with filtering certain words and hashtags when they're provided, although those who frequently post about politics rarely provide anything to grab onto in order to build an accurate filter. So it's essentially an arms race. Maybe with the new crop of Mastodon apps we can collaborate on a filter list and share it so as to create an experience whose goal is as little politics as possible? Just spitballing. Would be happy to help with this effort.

Damn. I literally jumped on here about 30 seconds ago. fediverse really upping it's game.

@out_of_easthofen I feel like some of these people need a mandatory field trip to the fediverse. Because you have to be high to actually believe leftwing antisemites and their coward enabler bystanders haven't ever called for the death of people. They do it at least once a day to Jews. Every single day. Maybe twice on Shabbat and yamim tovim. Same goes with other leftwing spaces. If the day begins with Yom they're calling for the death of Jews or celebrating dead Jews and it's not going to let up anytime soon.
