#BlogElul Day 1 and #Blogboost day 2: Decide.

Most years, Elul is my favorite time of year, and at the beginning at least I usually have a plan with everything laid out as to how i’ll go through the month. This year I haven’t done that, because of how insane last year turned out to be. As <a href="https://www.adatosystems.com/2021/08/08/blogelul-day-zero/">AdatoSystems</a> puts it: <blockquote>For many of us, myself included, last year was a lot. Too much, in fact. Too much to keep up with. Too much to process. Too much to add one more thing.</blockquote>

And so I ended up at Rosh Hashanah feeling very unprepared.

This year, I’m doing things a bit differently. The only plans are to write these posts, and for everything else I’m leaving planning out of the mix because it usually gets in the way of actually getting anything accomplished.

Well, that, and that whole thing about how we plan and God laughs.

I have a couple of books I’ll dip into, but I definitely don’t plan to regiment much. I think it would probably get in the way.

So for today, i’m just deciding to give this a go, and will let it go where it goes.
