@weirdwriter @AppleVis Seconding Jamie. Situations like the AppleVis one are incredibly tricky, from just about every standpoint, but especially the community aspect.

Are you comfortable with the command line?

I have a couple registrars. Namecheap which I've used for years and hate less than everybody else, and Ultradomains, which I have a single domain on and haven't gotten up the gumption to spend the six weeks to change registrars for that single domain. I have yet to find a registrar that's accessible, just ones that are some flavor of not inaccessible enough so as to not be completely unuseable. Namecheap so far as best at this. Hope this helps.

This is correct. We don't have the ability to filter out with Windows clients. Very unfortunate.

I want to say I'm surprised. I'm not.

Situations like this are where a white cane becomes useful, especially if it's got one of the bigger tips, because you can whack the mansptreader with it and then when they complain you can claim it's an accident. Note: Also works on sighted people who take up the entire sidewalk or hallway or stairway so they can have a conversation with their friends.

I'll write this up once I'm done and have tested, since I've cobbled together a bunch of separate pieces of snippet documentation from various people's posts. If I can figure out how to make the shortcuts completely configurable, (I.E., asking for various URLs needed along with tokens), I'll share configurable versions people can use.

@technocounselor That's one of the best parts of Downcast, and the corresponding lack of ability to import and export podcasts into Apple Podcasts is a real downside to Apple.

@stirlock Gotta say I wish American elections were like elections are in most places around the world with regard to length of time and money. We've been in a never-ending election cycle since 2016 with no sign of ending any time soon and honestly it's exhausting.

I have a sneaking suspicion that those of us who are shaking our heads at this are going to be the minority if we're not already.

I want to say that this is ridiculous and is just some random weirdo but I've been on Mastodon too long after the Twitter migration to actually believe this. Mastodon the culture has just gotten too weird.

@Bruce_Toews This is a whole lot like current antisemitism discourse outside the Jewish community. If all these pro-hamas rallies were instead mini Unite The Right rallies, we'd be hearing endless justifications about how not everyone there is bad from the right while at the same time hearing unequivocal condemnation from the left, but since it's the reverse, we're getting unequivocal condemnation from the right with at best halfhearted condemnation from the left, because it's all fine as long as the target is not the people we like/agree with. And it's all disgusting.
