Get in Babkans and other fedizens, we're doing Monday.

#today promises to be a long one, complete with a meeting right at the end, so I'm doing my best to work in some away-from-desk time at some point during the middle of it. I'm planning to have a large buffalo chicken salad for lunch, which I'm really looking forward to for some reason.

Other than that, I'm just having my morning coffee while I listen to SiriusXM's Water Colors, after I managed to get logged back in on the PC this morning.

John and I had planned on getting some breakfast burritos this morning, but our order ended up getting cancelled by Grubhub. We're thinking about doing lunch from somewhere later on.

Other than that, it's a normal day around here. I'm going to finish up the chores that didn't get done yesterday this afternoon, and otherwise try to stay cool.

Get in Babkans and other fedizens, we're doing Wednesday.

I got this morning off to a much better start than yesterday's morning. All the chores associated with Wednesday are done. When I was putting out the laundry, I noticed how muggy and hot it was at somewhere around 5:30 this morning, and, it's going to be a long hot day.

So I'm going to be staying cool inside, and I hope everyone else is able to do the same.

Get in Babkans and other fedizens, we're doing Tuesday. We don't have anything planned for today except the usual work thing, and staying inside because it's supposed to be another scorcher. I'm just having my first cup of coffee for the day while I scroll. Have a good one everyone.

For the second year in a row, I forgot that I actually posted the wedding video the day after the wedding because we were too busy celebrating the day of. So when I look through the On This Day page as I always do on this day and I don't see it, I have to remind myself of this.

I should post the video here since I can't remember if I did that or not by the time things became very active on the fediverse.

That feeling when you're trying to bring up a conversation in the desktop Mastodon client, and you get the "manage call" dialog, so you experiment with the Jaws keypass only to discover that when invoked, everything works just fine. So it's something to do with the screen reader.

Get in Babkans and other fedizens, we're doing Monday.

First, happy third anniversary to the best husband in the world.

Second, I hope everyone has a good start to the work week, or the getting-things-done-during-business-hours week at least.

We're expecting our first 90F (32C) day here today, so while I'm planning to go outside for a bit just to get a break from technology, I won't be staying out there long.

The wings from Friday turned out great.

Maybe something that's actually substantive later on once I've had coffee.

Get in Babkans and other fedizens, we're doing Friday!

John and I are getting lunch from one of our favorite restaurants for our anniversary, which actually happens on Monday but we're starting the celebrations early. Yay wings! I suspect I will blow through my calory goal for today but I will have zero regrets.

For everyone observing Shabbat, I'll go ahead and wish a Shabbat shalom early since other than some quick work tasks I'll be ignoring the tech for the rest of the afternoon starting at around 12. And I hope everyone else has an excellent weekend.
