I've been a bit too busy lately to do anything other than read Mastodon, and I have to say I've missed interacting with you lovely people.

So I just read the new Twitter policy on promotion of other social media platforms for free, mostly because I've seen a lot of discussion and wanted to read the entire thing. The following things are true: Elon has the right to do whatever he wants on his private platform, and, this is incredibly dumb and I kind of hope the other socials start blocking Twitter links. And finally, some of the stuff people are doing to get around this is hilarious and I hope Elon has fun playing whackamole.

Morning everybody, welcome to Monday. Today will be a long day over here and Jaws is being annoying already. Need more coffee.

Still don't have exercises automatically coming in from Strava yet, but I do have my TV and movie watchings coming automatically from Trakt, so that's something Sometimes I like to binge-watch TV shows or movies.

Damn. That didn't work. Trying to figure out how to pass the "exercise" microformat with a link to activity since Strava is being a jerk about this and not passing info if it's not a ride/walk/run. &h=entry&exercise doesn't work, so next I'll try &h=entry&kind=exercise. #indieweb #WillMakeThisWork

OK I think I may have figured out how to automate posting of exercises to my website. If this works I'll do a write-up. #Indieweb

Good news on the overlay article front. Editors say put more of me in it and come out swinging. Will revise tomorrow. This is going to be fun.

Accessibility overlay article out the door for editing. And good thing there are editors because I said bad words in the final paragraphs. No, not the usual four-letter ones. The one that begins with w. And some five-letter ones. Like learn. And basic. I'm probably going to have to write a nicer version but well I read through that whole overlayfacts.org response to the original Overlay Fact Sheet and sort of blew my stack.

Y'all, we have totally been doing this all wrong. It's impossible for average website creators to make accessible websites, not all vendors (TM), and people with disabilities who find overlays unacceptable just need to open our minds or something because machine learning. https://overlayfacts.org/overlay-facts/
