Dear websites: Stop asking me to sign in with Google, especially when I have no reason to sign into your site. I thought we already learned our lesson on centralized authentication and it was supposed to be "Don't outsource authentication unless you have no other choice". I guess I should interpret the ubiquity of Google sign-in as confirmation that we as a society have learned absolutely nothing from the various centralization of authentication failures we've experienced over the last decade.

Spending part of the afternoon playing with shortcuts to do more #indieweb stuff from my phone. Because I'm really over the computer and my desk.

I slept until somewhere around 8:30 this morning and I have zero regrets. Still a little tired but coasting through the rest of Friday.

This makes me furious and I haven't even been fixing Crowdstrike stuff. I think it might even be worse than the BP pizza offer from way back when. The one after the huge oil spill.

I come back from lunch to find that my computer has rebooted itself, and this is exactly what I want to spend a huge chunk of my afternoon dealing with. Monday is fired.

Shoutout to all the techs having to do the hard work of remediating this weekend's CrowdStrike incident. Your bosses may throw you under the bus in the speediest way possible as soon as they think they can get away with it, but there are still those of us who appreciate how hard you're working right now.

Also yay for private browsing because a client sent me something via Google Docs and Google Drive and I'm logged into another Google Account in the browser at the moment and can't log out.

Woohoo it's almost quit-hundred hours!
