Get in Babkans, those of you on micro.blog, and other fedizens, we're doing Monday.

First, I'd like to congratulate Mastodon on its latest milestone, at least according to the Mastodon User Count bot. I realize that there is a dispute about these numbers, and that they do not cover the entire fediverse, but congratulations nonetheless.

John and I are just doing various chores around the house, and we will be cooking some barbecue briscuit baked beans with lil smokes later on because it's something that gives us a few meals and we enjoy it.

Also, we're reading the Tony Lord series by Richard North Patterson. We haven't rendered a verdict yet.

Get in Babkans, those of you on micro.blog, and other fedizens, we're doing Sunday.

For my Christian friends, I hope you all have a meaningful Sunday. For the rest of us, including my atheist friends, I hope it's a fun or relaxing day, whichever one you would enjoy more.

John and I are just reading through the Rosato and dinunzio series by Lisa Scottoline. Breakfast has been consumed along with coffee, and John is taking a nap.

(Sigh) I hate this timeline.

Chuck Schumer and other politicians in the US should not be attempting to interfere in Israeli politics by making public pronouncements about how Netanyahu is unfit and should resign.

At the same time, Tom Cotton is a performative virtue signaling little shit who doesn't give a damn about antisemitism and has no business throwing the label around so he can score political points. He can yell "Antisemite!" when he starts dealing with Maga's very own antisemitism problem, which Republican party leadership is still refusing to deal with even after October 7.

And before anyone tries coming into my mentions with "But leftwing antisemitism is worse!" I do not care whose antisemitism problem is worse at this point either fix your own team's problem or shut the hell up because I'm done tolerating it no matter where it comes from.

This is absolutely messed up.

Targeted advertising is bad enough, this is far beyond the pale. I want to know how we opt out.

"How Evangelicals Use Digital Surveillance to Target the Unconverted
The hot new thing in proselytizing is an app that allows Christian conservatives to collect data on whole neighborhoods of potential converts."

Get in Babkans, those of you on micro.blog, and other fedizens, we're doing Thursday.

Personally, I'm hoping we can just zoom through today and most of tomorrow until we get to the end of it, because this has been a long week and I'm tired.

It's supposed to be another nice day today with temperatures around 21C (70F), so maybe I'll take some advantage of that later with some time outside.
