Who knew that trying to unf*ck a custom taxonomy to try to make the select work properly in the block editor would result in:

Man this is going to be a long process. And my hate for the block editor incraments by one for the second time today. There will be alcohol later.

Have I mentioned how absolutely hostile the WordPress block editor is? Because I feel like that needs to be mentioned again after I had to change a custom taxonomy for a post only to have to go through a bunch of crap just to get this thing back to being able to be edited in the block editor and then have to redo a bunch of blocks that just disappeared. Reasons why I hate the block editor incrament by 1.

No Matt, you can't offload WordPress accessibility into a plugin. To say nothing of the part where all the work gets offloaded to the community and the official project gets to wash its hands.

Looks like we'll be headed home this afternoon. Power is back on and we will both be glad to be back in our environment. Also, I was today years old when I learned that we just experienced what amounts to a land hurricane. Complete with an eye and everything.

Two captain and cokes down the hatch, because Mother Nature thursdayed all over our Tuesday and dropped a huge storm on State College, leaving 30,000 plus people without power, Including us. We're now safely situated at brother and sister-in-laws.

Currently enjoying a beer and listening to the Rock Bar on SiriusXM.
