Never mind I did it using Word. God Outlook is such a cow.

Hey Blind Hivemind, is there a way to activate Office separately from, say, launching Outlook and playing steal the Focus? Because Jaws just refuses to read anything during this process. Thanks in advance.

I'm going to regret this, but the Microsoft Office 365 apps are installed on my computer.
Thank God for uBlock Origin.
Shavua tov and shanah tovah everybody, welcome to 5785.
After two weeks, I finally have a computer up and running. It's a little notebook, and I'm having to learn how to run as many apps as possible in portable mode since the SSD in this thing is only 250GB, but it'll get me until I can get a new desktop.
Also, I killed the SD card for my braille display, and so I'll need to replace that too.
Definitely not so good times for technology.
I'll be rangling Office and dropbox tomorrow.
It’s beer hundred hours.
John has a different keyboard than I do, and so a different Jaws layout, and I keep trying to use the capslock key as the modifier key and doing things like launching dev tools.
I should probably start thinking about some lunch.
Oh and did I mention how absolutely user-hostile trying to use an already licensed under one user copy of Office 365 under a second user's account is? Because this is totally not happening without the extortion of Microsoft demanding I either add another license, which I will need to use on the incoming laptop, or just don't use Office in anything other than "we're taking your shit hostage" mode.
I entirely understand why non-techheads hate technology, because I want to throw things. I'm already dreading having to call support to unlicense the dead computer next week.
Get in Babkans and other fedizens, we've made it to Friday.
I'm extremely glad Shabbat is coming later today, because I am here to tell you that we have six days left in 5784 and the entire rest of 5784 is fired.
This all started Wednesday morning, when I woke up to find that my computer had bitten the dust over night, of which I got confirmation yesterday thanks to some sighted assistance. And when I say "bitten the dust", I mean it won't even attempt to boot. Just white screen with faint Dell logo.
I'm waiting on a provisional laptop from a friend for whom I will gladly hide bodies, which I should receive sometime next week. And to deal with truly pressing issues I'm using an extra account on John's computer.
All of this is why activity on the fediverse has been extremely lite for this week.
They're replacing the posts that hold the roof over the front porch up. Apparently those are rotting away.
Get in Babkans and other fedizens, we're doing Wednesday.
John and I are stuffed from breakfast, which we got from the bagel place we found. Looks like that place has lunch stuff and decently made smoothies too, so I will be getting smoothies next summer.
Other than that it's housework day.
We found a new bagel place and it was totally worth it.
Not updating my iThings until the Fruit Company forces the issue.
Get in Babkans and other fedizens, we're doing Tuesday.
This morning the landscapers are out and making noise, so I suspect I won't be getting much work done for now. Good thing I can rearrange. We have the windows open and don't want to close all of them.
Other than that, John and I have read five of the "In Death" books so far. We like the series but are taking a break for now.
We have a week until the new NHL season starts.
Get in Babkans and other fedizens, we're doing Monday.
It's been a while since I've done one of these so this might be a bit longer than normal.
First, I hope everyone's having a good week so far and that Monday doesn't turn out to be too difficult. This week looks like it's going to be relatively slow for me, which is good because I would like some slowness. So I'll get a chance to catch up on some conference videos from last week. I'll do WordCamp US videos next week hopefully. Speaking of #WCUS, I hope everyone has safe travels.
More later.
Shabbat shalom everybody, see you on the other side. #ShabbatShalom #Jewniverse #MazelDon
