If you received unwanted direct messages this morning, one way to mitigate this is by disallowing direct messages from accounts you aren’t following.

Navigate to Preferences, Settings, Notifications, and check the box labelled “Block direct messages from people you don’t follow”

Finished the first pass of rethinking how incoming direct messages work in Micro.blog. I still believe that most social networks should not reinvent the wheel with messaging, because it’s unlikely to be as secure as dedicated services like iMessage and WhatsApp. But we roll with what we’ve got.

worst one I’ve ever dealt with is IManage. They boast that they are the backbone of like 80% of American law firms, and most big EU/international ones too. So as the critical software I need to do my job, like hundreds or thousands of other blind lawyers, is it accessible? nope.
