I’m testing this out with WordPress now. Let’s see how this works. I need to remember to add all these cool little indieweb apps to my phone’s home screen. It’ll make not using the WordPress app a lot easier.

Today the high was 60F, (15.6C), and there will be snow showers, at least according to the current weather forecast:

Saturday
Snow during the morning will give way to lingering snow showers during the afternoon. Some sleet may mix in. Temps nearly steady in the mid to upper 30s. Winds N at 10 to 20 mph. Chance of snow 70%. Snowfall around one inch.
Saturday Night
A mostly clear sky. Low near 25F. Winds N at 5 to 10 mph.

If there’s enough snow/sleet, (in other words, more than just sprinking), I’ll be sure to provide some audio to contrast with Monday’s torrential downpour. We’re only supposed to get an inch, (which isn’t really a big deal), and it’ll stick around long enough to freeze and become icy slush over Saturday night. Also there will be raids on the stores tomorrow. Yay southern living!

I have determined that the best way for me to get work done at this stage in my life is to listen to ambient music, rather than my normal lists on Spotify. It helps keep my brain from racing. For right now I’m using the soundscapes provided by Ambient Mix, which leaves my phone free to do, well, phone things. There’s a list of ambient playlists on Spotify that my friend Tom McFarlin published sometime back, and once I find that link again, and then do the searching for those lists from the app on my phone, I’ll probably switch back to using Spotify for work things. I need to spend some more time with Spotify on the PC anyway so I can become more familiar with how the UI works.

Dear The Facebook: Apparently it’s time for me to clear my cookies again, because when I logged into the Facebook to check on a notification, it didn’t ask for username and password. Also, we need to talk about all the email you’re sending. So yeah, time to go screw around with settings. God I hate the settings screens. All of them. And the ninth circle of hell that is threaded comments on the Facebook. God, interminable “View previous comments”. God help you if a post has more than ten comments. You’ll never get out again. It’s like an infinite loop of “What the hell!”. I mean, you can get back out, if you click the logo, or if you click on the original post, which may or may not reappear, and God help you if you leave a comment and want to pick up where you left off reading. Everybody on my Facebook just start blogging and get it over with. Then we can all leave. Make webrings great again!
