I think I may have finally figured out how I want to log my daily exercise.

The Post Kinds plugin for WordPress has a reserved "Exercise" post kind, and I’ve enabled that. But, while working on my local copy of the plugin, I couldn’t find any information on the exercise-of microformats. Specifically, what other properties are available for it. So I put it aside for now.

But this morning, after my bike ride, I noticed that Strava provides a summary of information, including miles traveled and calories burned, and I can drop this data into the plugin’s summary field for now.

I also need to go update my 2022 miles challenge because the app we’re using for that will only pull in data from one source at a time. I have it connected to my Apple Watch, which means a whole bunch of data from other stuff that doesn’t exactly play nice with the Apple Watch hasn’t been logged for the year.

I’ve got something like 4 miles in for today though so I think I’ve earned myself an adult beverage later on.
