So now that the refrigerator has been replaced, here’s the whole story.

Apparently it quit sometime last night after we went to bed, and we didn’t realize it until this morning when I heard a weird clicking sound and noticed the milk was warm when I went to make a cup of coffee.

So we called Joe and got him to come down to find out what happened.

Turns out the refrigerator had to be completely replaced, and we had to throw out a whole bunch of what was good food. Especially meat.

We were able to save some things, and we’ll be cooking the roast that was in the freezer tonight because that was a very expensive piece of meat and we don’t want to lose it.
Other than that, everything else that was in the freezer had to be thrown out, and we’ve already put in a small-ish grocery order to replace some of it.
Neither of us are happy campers right now. We’re glad that Joe replaced the refrigerator for us, but neither of us were counting on this even being a thing. Definitely not on our anniversary. I’m contemplating having a beer early today.

Does anyone want to guess what would happen if Saudi Arabia appointed an official to fight anti-Islamic bigotry and then that official went on MSNBC to talk about Trump’s age, Walker’s secret kids, or anything but what was relevant to their actual job?

Spoiler alert: Republicans would lose their shit. And yet, anyone who says that this is direct action on the part of the State of Israel to meddle in U.S. politics will absolutely be accused of antisemitism by performatively outraged Republicans, whether the person saying it is a Jew or not. Or maybe they’ll just go with self-hating Jew or something like that.
