I am just sitting here slack-jawed at the latest news coming out from Elon Musk’s Twitter, where employees are being forced to sign a “pledge” by the end of the day tomorrow, or else they be let go with 3 months’ severance. This is rapidly becoming a cult.

I think we here on Mastodon should start up a betting pool as to the exact date when Elon Musk actually kills Twitter. I honestly can’t see how the company survives 365 days under these circumstances.

@thewebmusician Home shows posts from people you follow. Local shows public posts from everyone on your instance. Federated shows all posts from instances your current instance talks to (e.g. if someone on that instance follows someone from another instance, you’ll see their posts in federated).

A couple years ago, Facebook went HAM on people using their icons/logos etc in plugins on WordPress.org

Looking at Twitter? Yeeeaaaah if you have a plugin that uses Twitter, I would seriously rethink. You can close your own for the most part and honestly I would just shutter anything not super popular. They’re gonna go legally annoying.
