The claim that there was no “self-censorship” in academia until the “illiberal left” came and destroyed “free speech” is not worthy of serious discussion. Because 230(c)(2) doesn't incentivize them to remove any particular content or reward them for doing it; it immunizes sites that delete comments opposing racism in exactly the same way it immunizes sites that delete things they consider racist.
