I really need to start setting a reminder for myself to remain offline not only for Yom Tov, but also for Chol Hamo’ed, along with the week after Pesach, and Easter. Because it seems to me that people, mostly leftists, really enjoy taking these times to be the biggest jerks they can possibly be and I’m tired of it.
Look I get it. Most of you are athesists. But do you have to go out of your way to be jerks to Jews and Christians? I notice you don’t do this to Muslims, to say nothing of the east-Asian religions or neo-pagans. By all means don’t observe. Don’t even wish a holiday specific greeting if that floats your boat. But not being the biggest jerk possible is totally an option you should consider taking.
