I think I may have finally figured out how to efficiently clean up the trash fire within a tire fire that is my iCloud contacts.

@acarson I confess that when I moved back to the Apple ecosystem I just got rid of tons of them.
@acarson hehehe delete ’em all?
@JStark I can’t delete them all, but I can delete quite a few.
@chris Yeah that’s what I’m finally able to do. There were almost 3,000 in here. Interface is a bit clunky, but I’ve gotten it down to 2127.
@acarson is your trash fire in your ICloud contacts as bad as mine was? I had over 3500 contacts, but around 3300 of them were the same person.
@JamminJerry @acarson Are you frickin serious? Wow!
@ChrisDuffley @acarson well now I just use my google contacts for everything, and that hasn’t happened sense. the only problem I had sense then was recent. some how my google contacts got into my samsung contacts, and when I restored my stuff on my pixel 7 pro I got back in november, I had doops of almost everything. I found an app on the playstore that got rid of around 98 percent of the dooplicates though, so that made me happy.
@JamminJerry @ChrisDuffley Yeah actually it’s close to that bad.
@acarson Switch to google contacts like I did? lol. I love the web interface of said platform and use it.
@ke7zum I have Google Apps, and use that. It’s not that I use iCloud, it’s just that they’re on my phone.
@acarson YeahI use AZ contacts to sync my google contactw wiht iclou nd merge.
@acarson I don’t think there is a google contacts app for iOs, not officially anyway. I could be wrong, I hope I am.
