I have a all-in-one that I got earlier this year when I decided not to use my iPad and drop its data and insurance from the Sprint bill. It’s a $200 or so model and I can’t remember the brand name offhand. Believe me I’m not complaining about the ultrabook. I got a ton of use out of that thing and it was a good little machine. I’m just sad to see it go. I had a sentimental attachment to it. 🙂
For everybody else on this thread, the ultrabook was a gift from Wil and Denise. We all had matching ultrabooks. I think Denise’s may be the only one still kicking. 🙂 Denise, you need to figure out how to translate this into bragging rights somehow. 🙂
Actually, we got you and will matching Ultrabooks. My laptop back then was given to me by my sister in January 2013. I hate to see it go as well! That is, your Ultrabook. And my laptop from 2013 had also died and is replaced now. If technology lasted longer like it should, no one would make any money off of all of us!
oo, why did it die / how did it die
Internal wireless has failed. USB ports are toast, and the SSD drive in it has also now failed.
um, is this, by any chance, an HP or an acer?
No it’s a Lenovo. It’s a few years old.
gotta be an ideaPad. thinkpads wouldn’t die like that
Nope. Thinkpad.
the fuck?
really?
Yep.
that…doesn’t make any sense. ThinkPads do *not* die like that
Yeah apparently they do.
that’s really really fucking weird
I’ve gotten a lot of use out of this thing. So not really.
Didn’t you just get your ultra book?
No. It’s the old one. I was still keeping it by the bed for lazy browsing and stuff like that.
Oh poop. I love me some lazy browsing!
I had my version of this story a few days back, not fun, already missing the x250
It lasted almost 5 years. Were you able to get a new one?

It’s this HP Stream, which apparently is discontinued. Damn it. https://www.amazon.com/Discontinued-HP-11-r010nr-11-6-Inch-Processor/dp/B015CQ8SGE

I know, right? But mine lasted longer than Wil’s so I win. Muahahahahahahaha!
We had matching ASUS netbooks in 2009, that is me you and Wil.g
