I repeatedly noted during the campaign that El-Sayedu2019s central message was a lie.nnHe kept saying he wants to stop military aid to Israel to focus on spending money here. He was absurdly blaming affordability on that aid. Putting aside that the military aid was already being spent in America (at defense companies), it was also clear that he actually supported sending many more tax dollars to UNRWA and other foreign groups. Which doesnu2019t help Americans with affordability at all.nnUnfortunately, much of the press never challenged him on this lie and now he can come out and admit it.
