Tweesecake. I was trying to post locally to the instance I'm on, so if you received it that didn't work properly.

Yes thank you for your help because I wouldn't have known if the post was local or not without someone replying back from another instance to say they saw it.

@heribertschindler @hundertsieben I think you could actually type this from an English non-unicode-supporting Windows keyboard, but you'd have to type the text equivalent of the unicode symbol and not the text-emoji shortcut. And I don't know what that is. So I'll stick to the emoji keyboard and get used to it loading slowly I guess.

@dukepaaron @serge @hundertsieben Emoji are, from a standards point of view, a somewhat unique way for ISO to force unicode support on keyboard creators in regions where they wouldn't normally support anything other than the Latin alphabet. (Looking at you America). They also ended up being a kind of messed up workaround in the WordPress community to sneak in a security-related update before there was the ability to force an update from the .org side, but that's a long story that's something like ten plus years old now.

Yes. Very. You'll need proper ear protection, like the whole ear coverage kind not just earplugs.

I have a friend who works there in their disability rights office, but other than that and BSD I'm done with Berkeley at this point.
