My workplace has a project titled Angry Kitten, and I chuckle every time I hear someone reference it.

“Who has been working with Angry Kitten?”

“The customer wants to know who’s the [document] feeder for Angry Kitten.”

“Angry Kitten hasn’t been getting enough attention lately.”

“Angry Kitten is going to be growing soon.”

(You can search for the project name to learn who the customer is, if you’re curious.)

(Hey, if you dig this tool would you please give this post a boost? I’m way better at making this stuff than I am at self-promotion.)

Why is it that when progressive policies that help the bottom 90 percent are proposed, the question always seems to be, “How will you pay for it?”

But when the top 1 percent ask for bailouts, tax cuts, and subsidies, the question always seems to be, “How much do you need?”

This is a masterclass on how not to change a company name.

Anyone else would not change the name to a trademark their competitor owns, the logo to a symbol they cannot own and then try to take down the sign at headquarters only to have the cops shut that down because they had no permit. 🤦‍♂️

A trifecta of oopsie daisies. Should we let them release robot cars onto the roads?

Dude. In AWS’s certification materials they use a cafe to represent an EC2 instance, and without any trace of self-awareness go on to say “When you need instances—or baristas—you just click a button and you have them. And when you don’t need them, another click! And they go away.”

Like if I were Amazon, I wouldn’t want to be reminding folks how easily Amazon treats humans like disposable cups, but 🤷🏻‍♀️.

I will never get over the insanity of people who believe that “Spare the Rod and Spoil the Child” means you should beat your children.

The rod in question is a Shepherd’s Crook, it was used to gently pull lambs and sheep away from danger. The statement was meant to encourage protection and instruction. No decent Shepherd would beat an animal with it, let alone a child.

Briefly interrupting my hiatus to report that Sen. Markey and Rep. Eshoo have reintroduced the Communications, Video, and Technology Accessibility Act (CVTA), which would substantially build out the Communications Act’s provisions for technology #accessibility.

Really proud of the contributions my student attorneys and I made on behalf of our client, TDI. This is my last week wearing my clinic director hat, and this is a great note to go out on. Rooting for its passage!
