It's apparent to me that his gripe isn't with TikTok's surveillance or algorithms or data collection per se. It's that a Chinese company is doing it. Apparently, if TikTok were American, they would be peachy keen. But Chinese? That's bad! I don't like TikTok, and I believe it's generally an evil corporation. Yet I also dislike how Sen.
