Yes. I can’t help it, it’s second nature, especially when it comes to: Tech, ancient history, Middle Eastern geography, or comments about the tenets/doctrines/history of various religions.
But when most of your book is getting things drastically wrong, and spending pages and pages doing it, coupled with philosophizing, all at the expense of world and character building, I start 3-starring or less your books.

Basically, I get that some things are going to be stretched because it’s fiction and I don’t have a problem with that.
