I completely agree re: showing successful blind people as average joes through mediums like TV. I think you have to watch though that it doesn’t turn into “Meet the Blind” month or day or year. And I’m not sure how they think Aira being free would solve the unemployment problem, or the motivation problem, or any of the other root problems that are causing the disparity. I’m all for social justice and will wear the social justice warrior label proudly. But in order for anything to be true social justice, it needs to be practical so that it can last. Just making everything free isn’t the answer to that.
