@wa4wga @RicksterTheGeek Actually they are working on some access solutions for people with dexterity issues.
@wa4wga @RicksterTheGeek Yes. I think Siri is a great step down that road as you can do a lot with it.
@wa4wga @RicksterTheGeek It lets you text, make calls, look up various types of info, and it communicates with Apple servers.
@wa4wga @RicksterTheGeek iCloud is for storage. This isn’t storage.
@wa4wga @RicksterTheGeek Yeah but I’ve watched it in action and it’s damn fast.
@wa4wga @RicksterTheGeek I’m actually excited to get my iPhone in January because it will make my life so much easier.
@wa4wga @RicksterTheGeek They don’t tend to fall over very often. The thing about Apple stuff is that it’s very stable and so it works.
@wa4wga @RicksterTheGeek For instance, if VO crashes, it automatically relaunches, and you don’t need to hit a command to get it going again
@wa4wga Yeah, but the biggest problem you had was with dexterity issues.
I can’t believe I’m doing this, but I’m trying to convince @wa4wga that iThings aren’t that bad.
@wa4wga Yeah but it’s not server-side dependent in the same way that your mail client is server-side dependent.
@wa4wga If you don’t have a connection to the Apple servers, it’s most likely you don’t have any other connection either.
@wa4wga I’m not saying the thing will *never go down, but as I said, things seem to be very stable.
@thinlizzy159 I’m trying to figure out what you’re replying to.
@seedofeulogy It’s Ray.
@wa4wga Not when you have a voice command system that will do just about everything the touch screen does.
@thinlizzy159 Oh no problem.
@wa4wga I’m not saying jump on it immediately, but I am saying maybe give it a second look.
@wa4wga Oh no man, I’ve seen Chris N playing with it, and it’s damn accurate.
@wa4wga I wasn’t really impressed until I sat with Chris on TT and watched him play with Siri.
