Waaaaaaa! My weather widget broke! I’m pretty sure this is absolutely something I did, and I’ll get it fixed. But still, Waaaaaaaa! I had to break with developer best practices and code in production. Well, I suppose I technically didn’t have to, I could have made a call to support to copy production to development, added my few lines, and then made another call to copy development back to production, (don’t ask, but it has to do with accessibility of the copy tool I need to use to copy back and forth between environments), but yeah, not interested in calling to have someone copy back and forth. Not for a few lines anyway. So, the weather widget is gone for now until I figure out why it broke.

Aside
It’s late, and I can’t sleep, so naturally I am playing with websites. We’ll see how the rest of the day goes, but for now, this is actually a really fun way to spend my insomniac time. I hope to help launch this thing later on this morning. Having sat here while it has been built, I think this website is going to end up being a very entertaining read on a regular basis.

Read: “The Mack Open Web” from Bitsplitting.org and offered some thoughts
This one is devoted to all things Mack and iOS that allow you to consume and create content for the open web. I don’t have a Mack, and have not gone through all the iOS apps yet, so you’ll have to test the accessibility of some or all of these apps for yourself. Indieweb developers are very open to accessibility feedback though, and this includes implementing things for the sake of accessibility, so this is sort of the one place where productive conversations about accessibility which don’t involve accessibility folks talking to each other are still possible.

Ozzy on the radio, (until I figure out what I’m listening to for today). Final steps for a major site migration which has been an incredible pain in my ass, and the promise of nuking its old home from orbit later this week, which I get to do personally. I have never looked forward to decommissioning a server in the way I do in this case, and it’s almost like a high. I think I may even have a little celebration of the server’s demise. Welcome to Monday everybody, let’s do this!
