#Introduction

Hi, I’m Simi. I’ll be honest I have 0 friends and I’m in need of a community 🙏

A little about me: 🏳️‍🌈 as fuck. I’m an Jr. editor / post PA at an advertising agency. I live with my two dogs, Simba and Prince. Aspiring lead editor / director

I love: #scifi & #fantasy reads, #videogames, #videoediting, seafood, & #queer media (the more non-contemporary, the better)

I hate: Wet socks

Looking for a place to share my random thoughts and connect with others 👋

If you’re facing a daunting task, break it up into a large number of smaller daunting tasks so you can more easily become overwhelmed.

Motherhood is simultaneously over- and undervalued. It is venerated “except when it comes time to pay the bill from the maternity ward, offer maternity leave, feed a mother’s children, or come up with solutions to the child care conundrum.”

Just made a ton of changes to my The Events Calendar reset gist. Now is reassigns TEC custom properties to equivalent #WordPress core custom properties (configurable in `theme.json`) so that the designs are much more likely to match your theme out of the box.

Happily, I also got to remove some recommended template fixes because the plugin saw this and put them into the plugin 😊

My watch vibrates. I check the screen, and it reminds me to stand up. I rise. I walk. I open the cupboard and grab some cookies. Thank you, watch.

Hey you
In case you need it.
You really are important to the people around you. You really do matter. You deserve the nice things, and it’s okay to ask for help and to accept help.
You are loved. So very much.
Keep being the amazing person you are, because we love that person

Until more #Accessible / #BlindFriendly clients are made (for other than specifically #Mastodon), most of us are purely out of luck!

How ya gonna expect most blind people to jump over to a different platform (with the exception to a #HomeSocial instance), if all the work is being specifically put into Mastodon?

Remember to take care of yourself. You can’t pour from an empty cup.

So, since JoinMastodon.org has decided to change the way servers are listed on their website — showing preference for large servers who do not have a manual review process to join —>
