Twitter DMs are encrypted in the same way that Tesla cars are self driving.
Telling me that I’m going to be the next Helen Keller, or <insert disability activist here> is like me running after you and desperately, determinedly proclaiming, oh my god, you’re so inspirational, you’ll be the next thomas edison! If you are not a carbon copy of whichever famous person or big figure from the past you most relate to, we’re not either. that is essentially telling us we don’t get to be our own person because we have the same disabilities as another person. we don’t much like it.

To sum up, the best way to send someone an end-to-end encrypted message via Twitter remains the same today as it was yesterday: DM them and ask for their Signal number.
