@ppatel Also I'm trying to decide how finally being in the position to actually explain a meme makes me feel.

@ppatel No, because John Mastodon developed because a journalist misread joinmastodon as John Mastodon during the early days of the reign of Elon when he was blocking accounts with Mastodon handles in them.

“We never saw any of this ADHD or autism stuff when I was young!”
You never saw any photos of the surface of Mars back then either, but I’m pretty sure it was still there the whole time

@FreakyFwoof That train horn sounds like a dying elephant.

@StillIRise1963 I’m 65. Domestic violence was considered a family matter. No one was prosecuted for it, women were told by their various churches to do better and endure.
Rape was impossible to prosecute. There was no Miranda Law. No fault divorce did not exist. My mother had to get written permission from her father to go to college.
Abortion was illegal at every stage. Segregation was the norm. Civil rights did not exist.

One of these days I’m going to nuke this thing from orbit and install some variant of Linux. Because I don’t have these problems with Linux. It just fucking runs.
No, of course I’m not going to do that, because there are apps I need that only run on Windows, and see also: Accessibility on Linux. But still, I can swear at Windows, can’t I?
I haven’t checked to see if we have any baseball games yet today, but I’ll get to that in a bit. And of course coffee.
