Day 4 of the personal site migration from classic WordPress to blocks. As far as templating is concerned, the full site editor still makes me want to throw things. But, I have a really nice posting setup by way of a micropub client combined with some IFTTT until I get some stuff sorted with Lire and my Miniflux situation, and it's so nice that I'm literally going to be able to ditch several third-party services by the time this is done. I need to figure out how I'm going to handle Mastodon, because that workflow is completely broken at this point. The site itself will federate, but honestly with the way things have gone with the fediverse over the last three years and change there are a metric ton of people I'd just as soon not follow me to the next chapter of this journey. If you're tempted to reply to this post to say something about how you hope you're not on the list, rest assured that you are very likely not on it. Anyway, I have some strategizing to do, and John's going to help me with working with the full site editor since he likes the block editor while I'd like to fire it into the sun with a rocket. And in the event Mastodon becomes difficult, rest assured that I'll start finding people and following from my site.
